WHAT I CHARGE

GHOSTWRITING

It's very hard to quote for this without knowing what you have in mind.

The time it will take me depends on many things, including the type and depth of the book, the level of research needed and my own familiarity with that area, any graphics or illustrations needed, along with your own availability for interview.

To give you a guide:

A book proposal will take around about one month to write.

A complete book of between 50,000 and 90,000 words will take me between six to eight months.

My fees will reflect that.

BOOK PACKAGING

If you have a finished manuscript and you want to self-publish, I can help.

I can liaise with cover designers, and give you several cover options. I can lay out the interior of the book to produce a clean, modern looking and genre-specific design. I can take the final files and create the final book, working with printers for paperback or hardback versions, or listing the digital version of the book on Amazon, Kobo, AppleBooks, Google Play, and other global internet book sellers' websites.

Once again, the fee will depend on how expensive a designer you choose, the quality of the printing you need, and the size and complexity of the book, but the price for this kind of package will probably end up somewhere between £1,000 - £3,000.

Fund Raising & bid writing

I'm very happy to write documents for projects that have a positive social impact.

I don't currently take on projects seeking funding below £5,000.

For projects seeking funding between £5,000 and £100,000 I charge 5%.

For projects seeking funding above £100,000 please email and we can talk through what the project demands.

Other writing

I can help with vision documents, new website builds and rationalisation of old sites, or any documents needed for mission reinvention.

My daily rate for this kind of work is £700. Before we get to that point I'm happy to spend some proper time with you with no charge. That time is for discussing what exactly it is you want, and how best I can help you.
